The Specter is a faculty and staff-driven newsletter with contributions from members of CUIMC Stands Up and the Columbia Faculty Alliance. Sometimes satirical, sometimes serious, it draws on Columbia’s own polished, bureaucratic, and sanctimonious style — whether to parody or expose it. We use this platform to highlight the contradictions, moral compromises, and institutional absurdities we are all being asked to normalize.
